There's always a demand for print work and I have a fairly strong background in it. I did this pro-bono work for my church to invite attendees to an annual dinner celebration. Church budgets are minuscule and the staff didn't have a lot or quality photography to highlight the event so I designed an illustrative approach that tries to capture that feeling of the last fading light as fall transitions to winter. A lot of my inspiration usually comes from pinterest or dribbble, however the irregular thread like textile pattern came from the Caribou Coffee sofa I was sitting on. Inspiration can come from anywhere and this small project is a reminder for me to look for ideas beyond the online design community.
